Where is the church? We are located at 1839 Co. Rd. 24S, De Graff, Ohio. Here is a link to driving directions.
Where do I park? We have parking on the North side of the church.
What time are the services and what should I expect? The Adult Sunday School Class starts at 9:30 am, our Teen Class at 10:20 am and Jr. Church at 10:30 am. Our Worship service is at 10:30 am.
What about my kids? Do you offer childcare? Are they welcome in Worship? Children are welcome to attend the church service. All children are asked to stay during the entire Worship service the 1st Sunday each month to participate in Communion. Tweens are invited to join in a Sunday School class and then join the church service. Any month with a 5th Sunday, that day is Youth Sunday and all ages are encouraged to participate in conducting the service.
What do I wear? Come as you are! You’ll see members and visitors in casual jeans and boots, as well as dresses and suits. This is God’s House and ALL are welcome!
Can I take communion? All who seek to grow in a relationship with Jesus Christ are invited to His table, regardless of age or membership. Also, we serve grape juice as opposed to wine. We affirm Christ's real presence in the sacrament of Holy Communion as a means of grace and an act of remembrance of Christ's sacrifice on the cross. Christ presides as the host as all are welcomed regardless of age, denomination, or membership. Partaking in the holy meal, we are nurtured and strengthened in faith by the symbols of his body and blood.
Is there really a place for me? How do I get involved? How can I make a difference? Our church’s goal is to reach out and love people until they can’t help but see Jesus and come to know Him personally and walk faithfully with Him as Lord of their lives. To this end, our church calendar on the Homepage, Events Page and newsletter, are great places to start to learn more about events and announcements in the church. Our youth ministries are always eager for volunteers. We offer Sunday School classes for Tweens and Adults each Sunday. Independent Bible studies meet at Wednesday mornings at 9:00 am. Our Basket Ministry reaches out with a message of hope and love through Christ to people who are ill, hurting or struggling, and our Missions Ministry serves to assist people in critical need in our community through food baskets, holiday meal assistance, and networking with other service agencies with a senior lunch every Thursday. Because Christ tells us that ‘as we have done to the least of these, so we have done unto Him’, we strive to live out the love and grace that we know to be found through Christ alone. Many things are happening at the De Graff United Methodist Church. We’ll keep you posted on the progress. We are excited about what God is doing in and through us and invite you to come along and partner with us to give God the glory!
